5 Day Challenge to Kickoff to a Strong Start to the New School Year with Dyslexia

So, summer’s just finishing (boo hoo). But it really doesn’t even feel like it, does it, since all we have heard about this summer is how our kids are going to return to school.

And while all of our kids may be returning to “school” what this actually looks like - whether it be virtual, online, in-person, a hybrid, a tutored-micro pod, homeschooling, or a combination of these - on thing is for sure. It’s nothing like any of us expected six months ago, right?

No matter what it looks like, however, we know that by starting off the strong during the next month will set our kids with dyslexia and other learning differences strong. They will be even more prepared and flexible for whatever adjustments might come their way. But how do we know? Well, Zachary is a 16-year-old who has been on his journey with dyslexia since Kindergarten so has years worth of tested tips and strategies to share. And his mom, Pamela, who has also been on this journey with dyslexia as a mom for over 11 years has many, many lessons to share with other moms.

So to get you started off strong this school year, what are the first few things to focus on first?

A Note from Zachary and Pamela...

It all started 11 years ago when Zachary was in Kindergarten.  As he struggled to learn his letters, his teacher told him he wasn't "trying hard enough" and he ended up constantly stressed, frustrated, mad, or in tears. Zachary's mom, Pamela, wondered what had happened to her bright, happy 5 year old in just a few short months.  Over a decade later, we're still navigating the dyslexia journey (passing the driving test is up next...how'd time fly by so quickly?!).

We've all gone through so much and we want to be sure that you and your child learn from our experiences (the good, the bad, and the ugly) so that you don't have to lose anymore sleep or cry any more tears over dyslexia.  We've got you covered!
